If others can’t hear you or you can’t hear them here’s how to troubleshoot audio issues in your session:
1. Check Microphone Permissions
- Your browser may have blocked microphone access.
- Click the microphone icon in the browser's address bar to allow access.

2. Select the Right Microphone
- Click the three dots on the upper right-hand corner and go to Settings
- Choose the correct microphone from the list.
- If using a headset or external mic, ensure it's properly connected.
3. Unmute Yourself
- Make sure your mic isn't muted in the Whereby room.
- Also check if your physical microphone (on your headset or laptop) has a mute switch enabled.
4. Check Your Device Settings
- On your computer or mobile device, check the system sound settings to ensure the correct input and output devices are selected.
5. Close Other Applications
- Other apps may be using your mic (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
- Close them and refresh your session.
6. Restart Your Browser or Device
- If audio still doesn’t work, try restarting your browser or the entire device.
